University of Delaware

The largest university in Delaware is the university of Delaware. In Newark there is a main campus with satellite campuses in Dover, Welles, Wilmington and Georgetown. Approximately 16000 undergraduate and 3500 graduate students  is its medium size.A funding for being a land grant,sea grant,space grant and urban grant state supported research

In 1743 it was founded that the school from which the university was brewed making its one of the oldest in nation.Until 1833 University of Delaware was not chartered as an institution of higher learning.The original class of the ten students includes George read ,Thomas McLean and James smith ,the declaration of independence all the three would go on to sign.
